10 Tips. 10 Days. Discover Opportunities in the COVID-19 Crisis

By Dave Ulrich | March 30, 2020

Ten insights in ten days to help individuals and organizations with ideas, resources, and discussions on how to discover opportunities in the COVID-19 crisis.

In this unparalleled crisis, individuals and organizations are grappling with how to replace fear with hope, be realistic and optimistic, and react to today’s constraints and envision tomorrow’s ideals. At RBL, we have had 100’s of years of collective experiences with previous crises for both individual and organizations.

Based on that work and culling extensive research, I want to share insights to “discover opportunities in this present COVID-19 crisis.”  I will provide 10 insights in days (one a day Monday through Friday) for two weeks. Each insight has a short video, inviting comments from others, and sharing resources for further information. Check back daily for links to the videos.

The ten tips are:

  1. Learn always
  2. Anticipate the stages of the COVID-19 virus
  3. Make working at home work
  4. Distance socially but don’t isolate
  5. Live your values
  6. Navigate paradox
  7. Tolerate uncertainty
  8. Look back to be resilient; Move forward to determine success
  9. Seek guidance
  10. Take care of yourself

Clearly, these are not all of the tips that could (or should be given), but I hope that they offer business leaders, HR professionals, and individual employees insights that may positively impact their personal and professional lives.

Like others, I strongly believe that the best is always yet ahead.

Below is a playlist of the videos. You can skip around using the playlist menu found on the top-right corner of the video.
